Making a Living as a Musician (eBook Review)

Filed under: All eBooks, Available for Sale, Personal Collection — admin @ 12:01 pm

As someone who plays the autoharp, this eBook caught my eye…not that I plan on making it big as a musician, I just love music and find strumming my autoharp to be a wonderful way to relax. (You can read more about that at my “Strumming the Autoharp” Squidoo :-)

This eBook is in Word format, and is very easy to read, with very helpful and practical tips for the beginner, providing questions you can ask yourself to determine if, indeed, you are ready to “branch out” into the public arena. It goes into “freelancing” and various venues for doing that, other ways to use your music ability, how to put together a promo kit, and more!

All in all, this is a helpful start for someone musically inclined who is considering making a career out of their love for music.

250 Low Fat Crock Pot or Slow Cooker Recipes (eBook Revew)

Filed under: All eBooks, Available for Sale, Personal Collection — admin @ 6:32 am

Oh my, my mouth is watering as I read through this eBook of wonderful recipes, I’m sure there’s one here that I’ll be doing for our dinner tonight.

This is a very well designed ebook, very easy to open and read.

Occasionally as you page through the list of delicious, mouth-watering low fat recipes, you’ll find a banner or link ad, so the writer will make a commission if you click the links and make a purchase…but I think the writer deserves it, this is a nice collection of recipes.

All busy Moms, Work-at-Home Moms..or Dads, know how wonderful it is to take a bit of time before leaving for work or starting your day to put together ingredients in a crock pot, and have dinner all ready for you when you return home. Or if you work at home, especially on those cooler days, it’s wonderful to smell that food cooking throughout the day, and know your dinner preparation is behind you.

Okay, I’m off to check my ingredients to see what I can put together for dinner tonight!

Hypnosis for Beginners (eBook Review)

Filed under: All eBooks, Available for Sale, Personal Collection — admin @ 7:32 pm

I found this 75 page PDF format eBook to be very well designed and easy to read. It is a fascinating look at how hypnotism is not dark or mysterious, but a way of tapping into the workings of the mind, the way we think, the affect words have on our thoughts, actions, and what we picture in our minds. It is really quite interesting.

The book was written by a Dylan Morgan, I do not see a date of publication. The first section of the eBook, the contents, has the chapters listed with a brief synopsis of what each chapter is about. When you click on the chapter title, it opens up to the complete chapter. The chapter titles are:

  • Simple Connections ~ practical examples of how the mind and body work
  • Switching Off Systems - how muscle relaxation can be induced by visual imagination
  • Directing and Controlling Imagination
  • Exploring Inductions
  • Posthypnotic Suggestions
  • Resistance and Rapport
  • Bringing it All Together

I was really fascinated by this book…maybe a little hypnotized myself just by reading it :-)

Beginners Guide to Golf (eBook Review)

Filed under: All eBooks, Available for Sale, Personal Collection — admin @ 11:38 am

My first impression of this eBook was good, not only does the writer provide great information for the novice golfer, but he is a wise business person who includes a few links to ads at the end of the chapters, so it is not intrusive.

The book is put together using an ebook creator. There is a link to information about the ebook creator on the title box of the ebook.

Though I didn’t locate a name for the UK based author in my first read, the chapter titles, all “clickable” along the left side of each page and easy to open, include: Game of Golf; Golf Equipment; Golf Shots; Game Types; Other Golf Games; The Handicap System; The Rules of Golf; Glossary.

My husband and I have talked about taking on golf as a hobby, and I do think that this beginner eBook will be helpful. What do you think?

147 Killer Epublishing Strategies (eBook Review)

Filed under: All eBooks, Available for Sale, Personal Collection — admin @ 9:01 pm

This eBook was published in 2001, well before I even knew much about what an ebook is. At first, it seemed like the ebook was more an education in selling eBooks than writing them.

Titles include:

  • 20 Questions to Ask Before Creating and Ebook
  • 20 Ways to Increase Your Traffic and Sales with Books
  • 10 Ways to Increase You Ebooks Size
  • 12 High Readership Ideas
  • 10 Ways to Increase Your Free Ebook Downloads
  • and other sales related titles.

When I paged down through the 20 pages of this PDF format eBook, I did find some content that was helpful to me. The questions posed made me think, and if you are in the process of writing an eBook, you’ll want to ask yourselves questions like these. If I were the author, I may have re-worded the contents a bit so readers would know that the book is also beneficial to someone who wants to write an eBook.

The ebook is available for sale by me for $1.25, and has full re-sale rights. Click “Personal Collection” for posts on all eBooks I have available for sale. All have full re-sale rights.
