Web Site Reviews are important if you are trying to be noticed, and the more places you can post information about your site, the better. TalkReviews if just such a site. Stop by and visit, post a review about your book, author or other website or blog, and while you’re there, visit some of the sites that are posted. TalkReviews provides detailed statistics about websites in several countries, and provides a forum where you can share your views about various sites and their services openly and honestly, whether they be good, or bad. Maybe your site will make it to the “Top Websites”. It’s a new service, so lets help get it going my posting our sites!
First it was “My Small Book of Poems“, and after testing the waters, and receiving recognition for his first book, this tender hearted trucker from down under has published another heartwarming book of poems, “Rhymes of Times”. I am enjoying the copy David sent me to review.
The thing I like most is that the author comes through the book…what I mean by that is I can picture him reading the words, words that make you imagine that you know just how the writer sounds. Does that makes sense? It’s just plain real, and down-to-earth, warm and friendly.
On the front cover you see him casually dressed sitting by beautiful water, on the back, standing in front of his truck, a big rig…pictures which reflect the contrast in the type of poetry he writes. David asked me if I might introduce you to a dear friend of his who also reviews books, and her site, and I think the easiest way to do that is to have you click right here, and visit her page about David Delaney. She’s native to Australia, so will have a lot more local information than I, a reviewer from the States, can provide, including events, local media coverage and more.
Back to the book, here are a few chapters from the table of contents:
I Love Writing
My Dad
When Autumn Comes Again
I Was There
Loving Again
Loving You
Forest Gardens
Greg & Virginia
I Will Forget You Not

Well that gives you an idea, there are more poems, 30 to be exact. You can click here to contact David by email, and click the earlier link, or the main home page, www.collectivewebsites.com .
Many authors and writers build their own websites, or have someone do it for them at a cost. Maybe you’re ready to promote your book on the web and want to learn all you can about optimizing your site so it’s easy to find when you use search engines such as Google.
There is a site called “Website Office” that can help you with this, with all the latest news and services. They have a lot of information about online marketing, search marketing, website resources and more. When you take the time to do your homework by reviewing the resources at a site like this, you’ll be able to decide whether or not being your own webmaster is the best option for you.
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best in promoting your book on the web.
You can’t get enough help when it comes to publishing your first book or ebook. That’s why I post whatever I find that might be helpful to you. Here is something that might interest you, follow the link and see if this Report will be of any benefit to you.
Oh yes they can, just ask my Diva friend, Judy Davis, who is author of “Rock Star Mommy”. Her book tells you all about her life as a Mommy who is a Rock Star, a member of a great group of rocker moms called “MyDols”. What began as something that was supposed to be just for fun has turned into quite a sensation! Here’s part of a review, you’ll find the rest of it if you click on the link to her book at the end of this post:
“Let’s get one thing clear: The Mydols don’t take any lip.” –People Magazine
When suburban mother of two Judy Davids picked up a guitar and conspired with the neighborhood moms to form an all-mom rock band, she never imagined it would actually happen. Within weeks, The Mydols were born. Did they have a clue what they were doing? Nope. But from that point on, it was full steam ahead and never mind the laundry. Rock Star Mommy is a rallying cry for every woman who fondly recalls when she spent more time in mosh pits than “Mommy and Me” classes. From the moment Judy Davids donned a pair of go-go boots and jumped onstage, she embarked on an unforgettable journey. Rock Star Mommy chronicles Davids’ experiences as a music fan, a mother, and the leader of The Mydols–one of the first “mommy” rock bands in the country.

Yesterday I received the second wonderful edition of “Living Your Road Trip Dream” to review, and just in time for the long weekend. This has always been a dream of mine, and wow, what an excellent book! I skimmed through first, to read the topics that strike me as interesting right off…and it’s hard to pick, there are so many.
I’m learning that a lot of planning has to go into an adventure like this to make it flow as smoothly as possible. I’m realizing it’s important to plan for the unexpected. “Unexpected” means that there are things we would never imagine happening, but since authors Phil and Carol White have put what they write into practice, they know what to expect.
This book is an RV owners dream come true even before you “live your road trip dream”. The advise is practical, there are charts to help you plan, you will learn how to travel for a year for as much as it would cost you to stay home, and will also find good advise if you are planning on making your life on the road a full-time adventure.
Here are some of the chapters from the contents:
You Too Can Make This Happen (small trips -v- big trips; be a kid again!)
Financing Your Dream (where will the money come from? what to do with the house? what about the cars? and more)
Deciding to Go (breaking the news; building Support; what if I’m not retired?; what about pets? and more.)
Planning the Route
Getting Ready to Go (lists; discounts; insurance; legal matters; banking; picking a vehicle; clothing and more)
Staying in Touch
Making Decisions Along the Way (eating; sleeping; filling the driving time; vehicle care)
Handling Emergencies
Coming Home
The Trip
The Trial Run
The Sweet Smell of Summer
There’s Nothing Like the Fall
Winter Comes to the South
Spring Has Sprung
Okay, I have to get back to reading this book now, but you’ll find it on Amazon through the image below.
I have a number of friends and acquaintances through online networking who are authors who send books or scripts for me to review. I also have several who are interested in knowing how to publish a book. If you among those who are looking for assistance in the process, I found a site that may help. 48HourBooks.com claims that in some circumstances they can have your book done in 2 days, but if you visit the site, you will see that they offer a lot of assistance. I appreciated the fact that they openly show the price of each service, to me it is frustrating to go through a website that doesn’t tell you up front how much something will cost, I don’t have the patience to dig to find it and move on.
Among the services that they offer are:
Self-publishing services…if you’re confident in your book and have had it reviewed and edited, don’t risk being rejected by publishers, upload your book to the site and have it published. This allows you more freedom in expressing your creative self!
Case or Spiral Binding
Cover Design if you don’t have one already.
Printed Proofs
ISBN U Barcode (YOU will be publisher)
AND A LOT MORE!
So if you’re considering Book Publishers, and are looking for a process that is easy to understand, stop by a visit 48HoursBooks.com, and let me know what you think with a comment.
I’m an “oldie but goodie” enough to remember Cher when she was married to Sonny, and they were just starting out in the entertainment industry. I distinctly remember lying on the beach at the Jersey Shore with friends, and our transistor radio blaring “I Got You Babe”. There were no iPods back then, or CD players, or music downloads…we were still listening to vinyl records and an occasional tape….and not the little cassettes, the big 8-tracks. The melody and words are playing in my thoughts as I type as clear as can be!
Of course that was way back then, and this is very much now. Cher has come a LONG way and continues to be on the go! She has written or co-authored several books, including “The First Time”, “Cooking for Cher”; and books have been written about her, including “Cher: If You Believe”, and “The Cher Scrapbook”.
She is as beautiful and talented as ever, and presently performing in Las Vegas. In May of this year she replaced Celine Dion at the Caesars Palace for what will surely be a real “Cher Las Vegas” experience. For the Cher fan, it’s great to know that she is still on the move, and I’m sure we’ll be hearing from her for a long time to come.
Am I the only one that remembers Cher in the early days?
